Many apps access the internet without your knowledge, compromising privacy and consuming data. Android natively doesn’t provide an easy way to block specific apps from using the network, at least not with fine-grained controls. So we are left with third-party solutions.
Fyrypt is an iptables
-based firewall which allows you to block internet access for individual apps based on their UIDs, giving you full control over which apps can connect to the internet. Plus it does a lot more than that. This helps protect your data and privacy without complicated configurations.
Alright. It's been configured. But how do I know it's working? Fyrypt also shows you what's being blocked. See How do I monitor which apps are connecting to the internet on my Android device?.
